Rancho Cordova Fiscal Overview February 13, 2009

The Rancho Cordova Chamber of Commerce is co-sponsoring the Third Annual Rancho Cordova Fiscal Overview, featuring Christopher Thornberg.

The first part of the event is being held at the Sunrise Event Center starting with a continental breakfast at 7:30a.m. The program will begin at 8:00a.m. and will feature Michael Lyon, CEO of Lyon Real Estate and our keynote speaker, Christopher Thornberg, of Beacon Economics. Chirstopher Thornberg is an expert in the study of regional economies, real estate dynamics, labor markets and business forecasting. Given the intense interest in the impacts of recent economic events, the business community, Council and citizens should be very interested in the information Mr. Lyon and Mr. Thornberg have to share. Attendees will include the Rancho Cordova City Council, the Chamber Board of Directors, Cordova Community Council, City Management group and members of the business community - this event is open to the general public.

The second half of the day is a workshop and is hosted by the City Manager and the Finance Director at Rancho Cordova City Hall. Its purpose is to communicate the current economic outlook, beginning with macroeconomic perspective and drilling down to regional and local issues.

There is no charge to attend the second event.
