220 - 4th Avenue S.E.
Calgary, Alberta T2K 1V8

Yes, the rally is still on in spite of the Governor General’s support for proroguing Parliament.

The suspension of Parliament makes today’s coalition rallies across the country all the more important.

On December 4, Canadians are rallying in cities across the country to support a coalition government.

SCHEDULE:
5:00pm People start gathering
5:30pm Rally starts
6:00pm Speakers
6:30pm Head home/elsewhere to warm places

Please bring your signs, placards, banners, etc., with messages supporting the coalition. Noise makers, too (whistles, drums, horns, rattles, etc.)

Please have messages supporting cooperation, dialogue, democracy. The more positive the better. Bashing or alienating conservative Canadians is not what this is about — this is about a more positive direction for the country based on working together and cooperation. Lets show local Conservatives what we mean when we say we support people coming together across party lines to work for the good of our communities, country and the world.

Please bring candles (and lighters), too. Rallies across the country on Thursday are using candles to symbolize support.

PLEASE DRESS EXTRA WARMLY!
Double-layers of socks are especially recommended for standing outside. And, please, worry less about fashion and make sure your ears are covered. Brrrrr.

I’m trying to arrange for some hot tea there (any leads would be helpful). Please bring your own mugs so we don’t have to resort to disposable cups.
