The Triangle’s biggest and best Easter Egg Hunt returns to Raleigh’s Halifax Mall on Saturday, March 30, 2013. This is a FREE event, with more than 60,000 eggs for kids to find, as well as games, music, balloons, inflatables and more.

"This is our sixth year hosting Raleigh Easter, which has become an annual tradition for many Triangle-area families," said Matt Stevens, Raleigh Easter coordinator and lead pastor of Vintage Church's downtown location. "We have hundreds of volunteers who look forward to putting on this event each year, and we're excited for our biggest Raleigh Easter event yet."

In previous years, Raleigh Easter festivities attracted overflow crowds to both Moore Square and Halifax Mall, and event volunteers are prepared for an even bigger response this year. Hunts will take place every half hour between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., with each divided into zones by age group, along with a separate zone for children with special needs.

"I am ecstatic that Vintage Church continues to expand its already-significant Raleigh Easter footprint,” said Raleigh District E city councilman Bonner Gaylord. “I've lived in Raleigh for 35 years, and the opportunity that Vintage Church has to love this city is one of the most exciting things that I can remember."

Halifax Mall is located one block north of the state legislative building (across the street from the N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences on Jones Street) in downtown Raleigh. The mall is bounded by Lane, Salisbury and Wilmington streets.

Raleigh Easter is sponsored by Vintage Church. The church’s three-day Easter celebration begins Friday, March 29, with Good Friday services (6 and 7:30 p.m.) at Vintage Church’s downtown location at 117 S. West St., and concludes Sunday, March 31, with Easter services at 9 a.m., 11:30 a.m., and 5 p.m. at the downtown location, as well as a 10:30 a.m. service at Vintage Church Midtown, which meets at Sanderson High School (5500 Dixon Dr., Raleigh).
