Radio Free Green Street - GSMS 8 - REM & U2 May 16, 2009

The popular Green Street Music Series returns to Worcester, MA after a two-year break with Green Street Music Series 8: Radio Free Green Street, a local celebration of the music of R.E.M. and U2, starring Rattle & Hum and featuring over 5-hours of music, over 50 songs, and over 20 guest singers!

The show returns to the Lucky Dog Music Hall, 89 Green Street, Worcester, MA on Saturday, May 19 at 8:00 PM sharp! The series began in January of 2003 with Exile On Green Street, a celebration of the music of the Rolling Stones, commemorating the Stones club appearance in Worcester, MA at Sir Morgan’s Cove in September of 1981. Six shows followed over the next three-and-a-half years paying tribute to the likes of The Beatles, The Police, The Clash, Bruce Springsteen, Cheap trick, Elvis Costello, Blondie, The Cars, The Who, Aerosmith, ACDC, and Alice Cooper.
