Using only authentic news and archival footage of the period interspersed with readings by Paul Newman, Joanne Woodward, James Earl Jones, and other distinguished actors, this Oscar nominated documentary explores Martin Luther King's peaceful philosophy while recording triumphant civil rights battles that began with the Montgomery Bus Boycott and ended tragically with King's Memphis assassination.
