Quilting February 1, 2010

Our partnership with the North Orange County Community College District, School of Continuing Education–Older Adults Program (led by Lorraine Wicks) has allowed us to offer free classes to all seniors. This course offers the essentials of quilting, for older adults
students, which includes fabric selection, cutting and sewing
methods, along with the history and vocabulary of the craft.
Special techniques for older adults are covered such as patchwork,
applique, hand and machine methods, and finishing techniques. Classes are held on Mondays at 1:00 PM–4:00 PM with Brown.
