1214 Queen Street West
Toronto, Ontario

Sunday March 18 @ the Gladstone, The Ballroom, 9 pm till the wee hours, $7:

Queen West West Equitable Development Beach Partee!!
Here comes the neighbourhood!
featuring
THE PHONEMES (Blocks Recording Club), GARBAGE!VIOLENCE!ENTHUSIASM!,
GHOSTLIGHT , improv by a JOHN OSWALD/ SCOTT THOMSON GROUP,
plus a cameo appearance by TOMBOYFRIEND,
plus music from DJ MISTY ROCK'N'ROLL, maybe some SURPRISES
and quite possibly BETWEEN-SET DANCE LESSONS!

The event is meant to raise arts-community awareness of equitable development, homelessness, and the growing disparity between rich and poor in the neighbourhood and in the city. Proceeds are going to PARC (Parkdale Activity Recreation Centre), a drop-in and services centre for homeless people and psychiatric survivors in the area.

We will party in the name of respect and equality among street artists, the pro art world and nightspot parvenues, and a better balance between the needs of faux-boho condos and their housed and homeless neighbours. We'll raise some cash and dance on the brink of no return. It is our love and work and friendship that is making this neighbourhood thrive. Now where to (?) that love directed?

Come out! Bring friends like to plug a leaky wall of goop and poop and guts! And if you'd like to, buy an original drawing... (PWYC)
**** We would like to thank the Gladstone for generously donating their space for this event! ****
And thank you artist, good-kisser and citizen!
