P’zazz Children’s Choir and Dynamix presents

11th Annual Christmas Concert

P’zazz Children’s Choir and Dynamix Teen Vocal Sensations will present their 11th Annual Christmas Concert on Friday, December 17 at 7:30 p.m. at the Broomfield Auditorium, 3 Community Park Road. Tickets are $15 adult and $10 students/ seniors/military. Tickets may be held in will call by calling 303-466-8275 and are available at the door at 7 p.m.

The two choirs will be joined by the smooth and exciting jazz band, After Midnight. The 5-piece band, directed by clarinetist Roger Campbell, accompanies both choirs and will perform a set of their own. Additionally, Marsha Hays Prokuski, a graduate of Broomfield High School and of the University of Northern Colorado, will accompany on piano and a couple of surprise guest soloists.

The program includes a humorous arrangement of Fa-la-las over famous classical themes, a montage of Nutcracker Suite melodies, “Rockin’ ‘Round the Christmas Tree,” “Parade of the Wooden Soldiers” and many more. The concert concludes with the two choirs, joined on stage by the parents of the singers and past choir members from Broomfield High School, performing “Hallelujah!” from Mervyn Warren’s Handel’s Messiah: A Soulful Celebration and Ravel’s “Pavane for a Silent Night.”

Award-winning choral director Jeannie Card taught in the Boulder Schools for 23 years and is the current director of P’zazz and Dynamix.

P'zazz is an audition only choir for children of ages 9-12. Dynamix is a vocal ensemble for teens 13-17 years and the singers must also audition. Both choirs perform Broadway hits, vocal jazz and pop standards. Please check out their videos on the website, www.singpzazz.com.
