Robert Altman's The Player meets Eli Roth's Cabin Fever in Pure Shock Value as three film industry bottom-feeders--Ethan, Tex, and Gabby--find themselves on the brink of abandoning their Hollywood ambitions. But when a chance encounter with a mysterious stranger inspires them to give their dream movie project one last go, the trio concocts a scheme to stardom—by any means necessary. What ensues is a surreal comedic journey through the underbelly of Hollywood, far from Beverly Hills three-picture deals, multi-million dollar profits, and anything else they could have ever expected. The Los Angeles Times says PSV playwright Matt Pelfrey "has a gift for oddball concepts and bilious ribaldry," while the LA Weekly declares "the creative density of Pelfrey’s vision is impressive."

Directed by Laley Lippard and featuring KML's own Erin Carter and Justin Lamb and Chris Yule (two members of SF comedy group SPF7), Pure Shock Value takes place over the course of one long, strange evening in the wooliest parts of Southern California.
