Public Shamanic Journey Invitation
at Public space- smith and 6th Street
at 12:30 PM
Many years ago I initiated and sponsored the Gowanus Canal Redefined, an architectural Competition to redesign the Gowanus Canal. While curating and protecting the Public Space at Smith and 5-8th St. I had a vision of an older man who came to me and told me it was a sacred place, where the dreamers would congregate. It turns out that the name Gowanus is a Dutch corruption of the Canarsee name -Gowannee , which means the place of the dreamers, or sleepers. In honor of my vision, in 1982.
I will initiate a public shamanic journey, teach those who are interested in how to do it and have a shamanic ceremoney.
It is very easy to learn, and enjoyable
I believe it to be a powerful technique for spiritual work, and the purpose is to heal the Canal, the city, the world, and ourselves
