Emmy-award winning actor, entertainer and radio legend Pat Cashman will be the keynote speaker at the Providence Marianwood 10th Annual Spring Celebration Luncheon.

Cashman's talk will reflect on growing old and will be delivered with his signature humor.

In the mid-1980s, Cashman began a 15-year career as a cast member, writer, director, producer and editor on the multiple Emmy-winning program "Almost Live!," which also appeared nationally for two seasons on Comedy Central. Cashman also regularly appeared as a character on Disney's national Emmy-winning "Bill Nye the Science Guy" show.

KIRO-TV news anchor Angela Russell will emcee the event.

This is the premier fundraiser for the residents who call Providence Marianwood home.

Providence Marianwood, located in Issaquah, is the only non-profit rehabilitation and long-term healthcare provider in east King County. More than 45 percent of the residents come to Marianwood having exhausted their personal savings and insurance benefits. Marianwood's mission is to provide round-the-clock skilled nursing care to those in need regardless of their financial situation. As a non-profit healthcare provider, Marianwood belongs to the communities it serves. Hundreds of individuals, corporations and foundations nurture and support the organization each year with their charitable contributions. Overseen by a board of directors of Eastside residents and professionals, Marianwood depends on the Spring Celebration Luncheon as its single largest fundraising event of the year.

Reservations are being taken for this event by calling Steve Gallion at 425-391-2895. There is no "charge" to attend, but a tax-deductible donation of $150 per person is requested at the event. Luncheon proceeds will support the programs and services at Providence Marianwood. All donations to the Providence Marianwood Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) corporation, are tax deductible.
