Host: The Prosperity Caucus. Guest Speaker: Tyler Duvall, Acting Under Secretary for Policy and Assistant Secretary for Transportation Policy, U.S. Department of Transportation.
Tyler Duvall became Acting Under Secretary for Policy on February 1, 2008, and is also the Assistant Secretary for Transportation Policy at the U.S. Department of Transportation. He has been a leading advocate for congestion pricing and other free-market based solutions for the nation’s transportation problems, and his leadership on the issue has resulted in marked gains in the ability of states to apply such solutions to address road congestion.
Before joining USDOT, Tyler worked from 1998 to 2002 as an associate in the Business and Finance Group of Hogan & Hartson, LLP, the largest law firm in Washington, DC. He received his B.A. in economics from Washington and Lee University and his J.D. from the University of Virginia.
