If you haven?t heard about Mieka Pauley yet, just wait ? you will...Billboard Magazine compares her to "a young Sarah McLachlan"; The Boston Globe thinks she's more "Aretha", but anyone who's seen Mieka Pauley agrees on one thing - the cafes and clubs of Cambridge, Mass. have produced the voice of a new generation. Her roots are the blues, classic soul, R&B, gospel and folk and the result is a personal brand of pop music all her own. She is the winner of the first ever Starbucks Emerging Artist Award, the Rocky Mountain Folks Festival Songwriter Showcase and the Rock Boat/BMI Song Contest.
