Process & Surface September 8, 2009

Process and surface evolve together: the surface of the earth reveals geologic history, the surface of a painting chronicles the artist's creative practice. This juried exhibition by Arizona artists contemplates the relationship between physical surface and the process of conception and production in the visual arts. Artist creations in metal, photography, clay, print making, fiber, computer graphics, and painting, attest to their approach in provocative and unexpected ways.

The public is invited to the Opening Reception on Tuesday, September 8 from 7pm to 9pm.
