The New Greek
and Roman Galleries
Carlos Picón, Curator in Charge, Department of Greek and Roman Art.

Carlos Picón will lead a special tour of the new Hellenistic, Etruscan, and Roman galleries. The majestic new complex presents the legacy of Hellenistic art alongside the art of southern Italy and Etruria, providing a background for the story of Rome from the Late Republican period and the golden age of Augustus’s Principate to the conversion of Constantine the Great in A.D. 312. The display includes a stunning collection of Roman wall paintings that is unrivaled outside of Italy.

Thursday, October 16, at 11:00: $300

Luncheon with wine will be served following the tour.
