Princess Katie & Racer Steve are planning a springtime gift to NYC kids and their families: a FREE concert of “royal rock,” pop, country, reggae and jammin’ dance tunes from their new CD, ‘Songs for the Coolest Kids,’ on Saturday, May 5.

Kids are encouraged to join Princess Katie, Racer Steve, Super Chef Jeff, and Judo Champ Billy in rocking out royally to “music with a message that hasn’t lost its cool.”

According to children’s music authority Amy Davis, ”They’ve hit on the right musical mix of kid-appeal and parent-appeal … Lead singer Princess Katie has a stand-out voice, high energy, and comic timing and delivery unlike any kids’ artist I have yet heard. The band has an amazing chemistry … There is a lot to love about this one.”

Amazing for wee Lords and Ladies between the ages of 2-11 and their most noble parental units, but open to all!

Marge and I went to The Living Room to see this band with our kids on April 1st. It was terrific. SRO. They gave away a lot of cool stuff, and the kids were rockin out. They've got a real Baby Boomer sound, and my kids like that type of music. Nice tribute to Martin Luther King, too.
