13 Brunswick Square
Hove, England BN3 1EH

A meet-up for programmers, web developers and designers to discuss and showcase their "£5 apps" - lightweight software created by one or two people who take a simple idea and run with it.

The discussion will range from technical (what tools/languages were used during development) to business (building communities, spreading the word, costs and rewards).

This is the 4th £5 app meet.

This time round we have Lincoln Smith (http://www.iolab.co.uk/) talking about his experience creating a:

"...USB input device for researchers requiring high accuracy response time measurement"

So for a change we have someone talking about some actual hardware rather than "just" software.

Linc will be demoing the box, hopefully showing us the innards and explaining how he was able to get everything going - without a massive facility to back him up.

After Linc's talk we'll be running the pitches again - the aim being for people to simply get up and "pitch" their ideas for £5 apps and get some feedback.

As usual there should be beer and hopefully ginger cake again too.

Will be great to have you along :-)
I'm Pitching for a Reverse-Jobs-Site idea (well, pitching for someone else to pick-up the ball on the idea) and we've had these chats in the past...
