Pottery: Function Vs Aesthetics With Michael Preston November 19, 2009

This class will go over an exploration of usable vs. decorative forms and how to merge them. Starting with basic pottery techniques, students will investigate the appeal of different styles of sculpture and find ways to integrate other media into our works to increase their usefulness and add to their visual presence. Other media may include stained glass, wood and beading. Class size is limited and beginning and intermediate students are welcome. Basic materials and firing are included in fee.
