Conductor, vocal coach, and pianist, Rob Ainsley is the Associate Music Director & Chorus Master for Portland Opera. Hailing from England, he earned at Bachelor's degree in mathematics from the University of Cambridge and a Master of Music in piano performance from Mannes College of Music, in New York City. He joined the Company in late summer 2006. Previously he was the coach and pianist for the Lindemann Young Artist Program for the Metropolitan Opera. He is also the co-founder and principal conductor of the Greenwich Music Festival in Connecticut.
