Polk Museum of Art - View & Review: Critiquing Emerging Artists September 19, 2008

Local artists are encouraged to bring their latest work to show off, and we’ll provide the art professional, wine, and light hors d’oeuvres. Even if you’re not an artist, this is a great way to learn about art and artists in a relaxed, intimate setting.

Ever wondered what an artist was thinking when they made their work? Ever wondered what an artist or a curator thinks when they look at art? Or maybe you're an artist and you want to know what in your work is good and what needs improvement? This new program is what you're looking for!

Join us every month on a Friday night for an informal art critique. Artists are invited to bring one piece of completed work for review by a curator, master artist, or gallery professional. Non-artists are invited to come hang out and join in on the discussions. Hang out, socialize, and have an art-filled evening.

Artists should call the Education Department to register prior to the event.

$15 Artists, $5 Audience. Cash Bar.
