Polar Plunge Deschutes 2009 February 27, 2009

The Polar Plunge is a cold and quirky event held in Bend benefiting Special Olympics Oregon. Plungers must raise a minimum of $50 prior to plunge day in order to enter the plunge. Once the money’s raised, the rest is fairly simple: You show up on the bank of the Deschutes River, wearing whatever costume you choose for the plunge, and, when your group gets the green light, into the river you go!
