A highly influential part of the British Blues movement of the 1960s, John Mayall’s Blues Breakers highlighted the guitar work of Eric Clapton, Mick Taylor and Peter Green. His move to Los Angeles in the 1970s brought him into the company of many of the great West Coast musicians and began a decade of touring with American bands. Through the 80s and 90s Mayall further cemented his claim as the “Godfather of British Blues.” Today, Mayall tours with Texas guitarist Rocky Athas and the rhythm section of Jay Davenport, and Buddy Guy vet Greg Rzab on bass.
