Poetry Reading by Vievee Francis November 30, 2004

Vievee Francis has been published in Callaloo, The Crab Orchard Review and the 2003 Grolier Prize Annual (semi-finalist). She has also been a finalist for the Lotus Press Prize. Work is forthcoming in several publications including: Dispatch Detroit, Gargoyle, Margie, and the Four Way Books anthology, Never Before due out in 2005. Born in Texas, she makes her permanent home in the Detroit area.

She is known for her active performance style as well as for the tightness of her work, and is one of those rare writers whose work translates equally well alound and on the page.
