Poems & Pints: Sophie Cabot Black & Sharon Olds April 7, 2009

Sophie Cabot Black's books of poetry include 'The Misunderstanding of Nature' and 'The Descent.' She has been featured in several anthologies and journals and has received the Grolier Poetry Prize, the John Masefield Award, and the Norma Farber Book Award. Black has been a recipient of fellowships from the MacDowell Colony and the Fine Arts Work Center and the Bunting Institute. Sharon Olds has published eight volumes of poetry, including 'Satan Says' and 'The Dead and the Living.' She is the recipient of the inaugural San Francisco Poetry Center Award, the Lamont Poetry Prize, and the National Book Critics Circle Award, and was a New York State Poet Laureate.
