Playdate with the Classics October 30, 2010

Continuing it’s commitment to quality music enrichment programs in the South Sound, the Tacoma Philharmonic’s Kids Koncerts Series is designed to inspire the unlimited potential of every child through music. Starring renowned music educators Lisa & Linda of Let Your Music Shine, the 2010/2011 Series begins with Playdate with the Classics on Saturday, October 30. Concerts start at 10:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. at Theatre on the Square in Tacoma. Tickets for the family concert series are just $5.00 per person, with discounts for groups of 10 or more. Kids Koncert performances are 45 minutes long and serve to engage our youngest music lovers—infants, toddlers, preschoolers and elementary-aged children—in musical games, stories and songs and help them build a strong relationship with symphonic music. All children are to touch and play instruments at the “Instrument Petting Zoo,” which is open both prior to and following each of the Kids Koncerts. The Kids Koncerts series is being presented by Tacoma Philharmonic, an organization which is now celebrating 74 years in Tacoma and is known for bringing the world’s finest orchestras, chamber ensembles, and solo classical artists to Tacoma’s Pantages Theater.
