'Plastiki' - Mission Control Talk Series October 13, 2009

The team behind the Plastiki expedition will discuss what it has taken to build a 60ft catamaran almost entirely from reclaimed plastic water bottles and self-reinforced PET, a uniquely recyclable and relatively unexplored material. They will highlight the research, development and discoveries made along the way.

Tuesday, October 13, 2009 - Plastiki project manager, Matthew Grey will discuss the processes of the boat’s construction, from the research and development, sourcing of materials, new discoveries and innovations and the challenges overcome to build such an unconventional vessel.
