Norway's Pirate Love plays "garage surf punk blanketed with the sharpest of black atmospherics," which they have labeled "black punk." According to Christian Lysvag, MIC (www.mic.no) Pirate Love "combines the attitude of punk with the momentum of splendid rock, and further, -with the melodies and song structures of sophisticated psychedelia and true pop."
