Urban Wineworks and Bishop Creek Cellars present

The Second Annual Pinot Pedal 2008 Bike Ride and
Celebration for the Promotion of Sustainable Living.

The Pinot Pedal event is a unique opportunity to bring together many different groups and organizations whose focus is making sustainability not only a lifestyle, but also a philosophy and a way of doing business. By bringing together the bicycling community, the sustainable farming community, and the community of urban development and planning we seek to raise awareness of the importance of thinking in a sustainable way. The event will kick off with a leisurely 16 or 27 mile bicycle ride organized by Shift which will spin leisurely through North Portland. The ride will journey along low-traffic roads in order to promote bicycling as a sustainable mode of transportation. After the ride is complete, riders and non-riders alike will convene at Urban Wineworks, to celebrate in style. Proceeds of riders' registration and a percentage of Bishop Creek Cellars sales will benefit the Sauvie Island/Flanders Street Bicycle and Pedestrian Bridge Project.

So mark your calendars and check back as more details will be forthcoming.
