The most amazing concert will take place on Thursday, June 26 at Healey’s Roadhouse when two-time Grammy award winning nearly-95 year-old pianist, Pinetop Perkins comes back to Toronto. The legendary musician received the Lifetime Achievement Grammy in 2005 and just this February was awarded the Grammy in Traditional Blues for his collaborative recording with another ‘great’, David “Honeyboy”” Edwards. Pinetop releases his brand new album on Telarc in June and turns 95 at the beginning of July.
Also on this ‘one for the ages’ concert is Juno award winner, Jack DeKeyzer and his band and Jerome Godboo. DeKeyzer, just this month, won 1st Place in the Nashville-based International Songwriting Competition, Blues category. Jerome Godboo’s most recent recording, Humdinger has received critical acclaim and he continues to tour non-stop.
