PHPNW July 2009 July 7, 2009

The next meeting of PHPNW is on 07/07/2009 and it's also the first anniversary of the group (read cake and free beer)!

PHPNW (PHP North West) is a group focussing on the PHP web development language in the North-of-England.

Where: Revolution, Arch 7, Deansgate Lock, Whitworth Street, Manchester, M1 5LH [1] (Normally in the lounge at the back on the entrance level)
When: 7pm Tuesday 7th July 2009
What: We have Adrian Hardy talking about PHP & Daemons: PHP has a set of little-used functions which allow any script to become a fully-fledged background process or "daemon". Daemons can be more responsive than cronjobs, and more controlled than crude calls to shell_exec().

We have our meetings at Revolution on the first Tuesday of each month. The venue has free WiFi and serves food 'til 9pm.
