As we have done in previous years, this August we are having Lightning Talks! Lightning talks are really good fun and a great way to start getting speaking experience as they are short and fast paced. The idea of a lightning talk is that you have 20 slides, and each slide is on screen for 20 seconds. This is open for anyone to have a go, and if you would like to, then there is no need to pre-register, just turn up on the day with your talk prepared. The topic can be anything of interest to you (doesn't even necessarily have to be about PHP) and each talk should last exactly 6 minutes and 40 seconds.

PHPNW (PHP North West) is a group focussing on the PHP web development language in the North-of-England.

We have our meetings on the first Tuesday of each month. The venue has free WiFi and serves food 'til 9pm.
