Photoblogging Toronto: A public lecture by Sam Javanrouh February 1, 2006

The Hart House Camera Club presents Sam Javanrouch, the winner of the 2005 Photoblog of the Year award will present a narrated slideshow of photographs of Toronto from his notorious photoblog Daily Dose of Imagery. http://wvs.topleftpixel.com The son of an acclaimed Iranian cinematographer, Sam Javanrouh immigrated from Tehran to Toronto in 1999. He found work as a graphic designer and quickly moved to a senior position at a local post-production house. Finding time between deadlines, Sam created his Photoblog - "Daily Dose of Imagery" - which quickly gained notoriety in cyberspace, as well as being featured in The Toronto Star, Spacing, CBC Radio 3, BBC and a variety of other publications and winning several awards. Sam's photography reflects his daily experiences in Toronto, as well as showcasing images from other parts of the world including Iran that often surprise Western eyes. His Photoblog "Daily Dose of Imagery" attracts more than 15,000 unique visitors daily from around the globe.
