Photo history of Union City September 26, 2009

If a picture is worth a thousand words, then this presentation represents an entire history book about Union City. Although the city incorporated 50 years ago, its photographic history dates back 100 years before that.

Tim Swenson, chairman of Union City's 50th Anniversary Historical Committee, will present a pictorial history of the area from 1850 to the digital age. It includes the early days of four communities that eventually became Union City: Alvarado, Decoto, Union City and New Haven.
