Peter Ostroushko (oz STROOSH ko) is regarded as one of the finest mandolin and fiddle players in acoustic music. Come and hear this Prairie Home Companion favorite at the Williamsburg Library Theatre on Friday, October 17 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $18 for adults, $15 for Friends of the Library or students, and $9 for those under 16, and can be reserved by calling (757) 259-4070. This is another in the librarys Dewey Decibel concert series.

Throughout North America and Europe Peter Ostroushko has earned an international reputation as a versatile and dazzling master of instrumentation and composition. During his career he's made his mark as a sideman, session player, headliner and composer with artists like Bob Dylan Robin and Linda Williams, Norman Blake, Chet Atkins, Willie Nelson, John Hartford and Taj Mahal. Peter performed for more than 25 years on public radios A Prairie Home Companion, where he was music director. His TV appearances have included Austin City Limits, Late Night with David Letterman, even Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood.
