Pet Lovers Party
June 4th
11am-7pm

Join us on Saturday, June 4th, for a day of pet-related events! Learn about pet care, make treats for your furry friends, and meet some very special four-legged guests. The schedule of events includes:

All day: Visit our Children’s Book Department throughout the day and make crafts and special treats for that special pet in your life. Children of all ages invited.

11am-1pm: First State Greyhound Rescue -- Meet Steve Cuzner and his pals, Drew and Bandit! Founded in 2000, First Greyhound Rescue is dedicated to giving new homes and new lives to greyhounds rescued from racing. Learn all about these dogs and find out how you can adopt one into your family.

1pm-3pm: Book Signing with Larry Levin and Oogy -- Join us when author Larry Levin will be signing copies of his book and meet Oogy, the dog that made it all possible. A heartwarming story of how a family and community were determined to rescue a dog used as bait for fighting dogs. Also joining the author and Oogy will be Bethany and David Lee from the Lehigh Valley Pitbull Awareness Club.

3pm-7pm: Pooch Smooch Photography -- Visit and bring your pets for pictures with photographer Angela Nicole, or just watch the fun as the “models” strut their stuff. Call Angela directly at 610-349-9200 to make a reservation for a sitting that day, or just stop by. Sitting fee is $10.00. Additional pets in same photo are $5.00.

4pm-5pm: Horse Play -- Join Chelsea Deephouse of Dreamfield Manor Farm for an educational talk about the largest pet of them all! Chelsea grew up around horses her entire life and will share her stories of the unique bond between humans and horses.
