A concert of illuminating music
Performances Include:
• Daniel Palkowski Low and Behold for tuba and electronics
• Dan Cooper new work for piano four hands
• Oscar Bettison Neolithic Airs for detuned violin
• Gloria Coates three songs for soprano and piano
• Dinu Ghezzo Abyss for clarinet and electronics
• Patrick Hardish Two Poems: "A Valediction" for soprano solo and "Before I Wake" for soprano and piano
• Dalit Warshaw Night Lights for Theremin, violin and tuba
On Wednesday, June 9, 2010, 7PM, the Composers Concordance will partner with the Chelsea Art Museum, 556 W. 22nd St. (11th Ave.) “Performing Arts at CAM,” with a concert showing the relationship between light, laser projection and new music. The visual artist for this show is laser artist Raphaele Shirley and there will be projections of her works during the performance at the museum.
