Expelled from the University of Tehran for refusing to wear the mandatory Islamic veil, Azar Nafisi has spent much of her career advocating for Iranian intellectuals, youth, and especially women. Dr. Nafisi is a Visiting Professor at the Foreign Policy Institute of Johns Hopkins University.
