Paxselin Presents: Hank Hirsh Quartet June 22, 2006

A well known figure in Japan and Chicago, saxophonist Hank Hirsh has since relocated to the Pacific NW and brings his quintet (which also features his son, Sam Hirsh, a talented young high school student) out for a stroll. The arrangements and original material (compliments of Mr. Hirsh Sr.) meld hard bop traditions and modern compositional techniques.
