""A virtuoso guitar player and mood shaper"--New York Times"

Boston-based songwriter (and beloved Ann Arbor Folk Festival MC) Patty Larkin's latest album Red=Luck is a brilliant song cycle in which Larkin marshals sounds ranging from modal folk and Middle Eastern scales to pop and R&B in order to explore themes of longing and disconnection. The title refers to the significance of the color red in Chinese culture. "How does one sustain one's self when the collective soul is damaged? These songs are about a loss of innocence and Red=Luck is a meditation on hope," says Patty. The album is another virtuoso effort from one of the most ambitious songwriters of our time, and a consistent Ark favorite.
