Guitarist Pat Metheny is considered to be one of today's most popular and accomplished jazz musicians. He dedicates time to both his own projects and those of emerging artists and veterans alike. Brad Mehldau is among the most compelling, eccentric, daring and innovative young pianists in jazz today. He was nominated for a 1997 Grammy for Best Jazz Instrumental Solo and he won the Jazz Times Readers Poll award for Best New Artist that same year.
