DEAD HORSES

"Formed unofficially on last years St. Patrick's Day (March 2010) in Oshkosh, WI. Tyler, the lead guitarist, Nick, the mandolin player, as well as Daniel Wolff on bass was the initial line up. The music consisted mostly of blues, folk, and bluegrass. Shortly after they found their female guitarist and vocalist Sarah to complete the band as a solid 4 piece. The group hooked up a weekly show in Oshkosh a few months later during the summer months of 2010. The gig was located near the stage of Waterfest where National touring acts would play every week In Oshkosh. This weekly show was great help for spreading their music. They played a Battle of the bands in small town Green Lake last summer as well and won. By that time, there were a couple people drumming with them on occasion at their shows. They have been playing steadily throughout the winter and even traveled to St. Paul/Minneapolis and Duluth recently to play and had a very warm reception there. Marking their first year as band, they played at The Irish Pub on Water Street in Milwaukee. It was their first time in Milwaukee and they look forward to coming back to play the local venues in the near future.

Here's a couple quick facts:
Band drink of choice: Milwaukee's Best Light
Where you would find Dead Horses in Milwaukee: At any of the local venues or in the river. To be more specific, in the river near the building where Miller bottles Milwaukee's Best Light
Likes: cool venues, knowledgeable sound engineers, friendly people, productive practicing, Milwaukee's Best Light
Dislikes: bad attitudes, broken mic cables, empty cases of Milwaukee's Best Light" - Stacey Johnson, "Milwaukee Indie Music Examiner"
