Giant Robot New York is proud to present Passing Ships (August 13 - September 14), featuring the art of Allison Cole, Susie Ghahremani, Jack Long, and Jillian Tamaki.

> Allison Cole is a Providence-based illustrator and designer who has contributed to anthologies such as Studygroup 12, Scheherazade, Blood Orange, and Kramers Ergot. She has created 16 of her own silkscreened comics to date.

> Susie Ghahremani is a Providence-based painter, illustrator, and musician who specializes in simple, nostalgic paintings of owls, trees, and things that are fancy. Her work has been featured in publications such as Martha Stewart Kids, UTNE Reader, and The New York Times.

> Native Pennsylvanian Jack Long uses a traditional approach to oil painting to create an unusual world filled with mysterious singing birds and talking houses. He has also illustrated The Tales of Slumber series of children's novels.

> Edmonton resident Jillian Tamaki is a freelance illustrator whose work has appeared in The New York Times, The New Yorker, and Maclean's magazine. The Edmonton artist's first comic, Skim, a collaboration with Mariko Tamaki, was published in June 2005.

All four artists will attend the reception.
