Party to Welcome Two New Busineses to Bridge Street (hosted by The Diving Cat Studio Gallery) August 13, 2010

Markels Diving Cat Studio Gallery would like to welcome two great new businesses to Bridge Street: Strawberry Fields 252 Bridge St. and Black Walnut Winery 260 Bridge St.

An evening of Music By: Jazz vocalist Carolyn Nelson and her band.– Carolyn does it all with authenticity and a respect for the tradition of the great jazz singers. Carolyn will be featuring several songs from her CD “Come a Little Closer” which will be released in the Fall. This is jazz to make you smile and tap your toes, to be felt with the heart, not just appreciated by the mind. Of course, there’s lots of instrumental prowess to impress with a band of this caliber whose members have played every major jazz club in the region with a roster of jazz greats too long to list.

Strawberry Fields Organic Juice and Smoothie Bar coming soon to 252 Bridge St. Scheduled to open in September, Strawberry Fields will offer various “grab and go” healthy foods prepared on-site as well as a variety of nutritious and delicious pre-packaged items. All of their juices and smoothies will be made from fresh fruit and healthy ingredients and will be prepared individually for each customer. They will also offer supplements for their juices and smoothies. Customers can expect great music to play a huge role in creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. “We want each and every customer to be turned on to a healthy lifestyle and we want to be a part of that lifestyle,” ~Susan Barrett.

Black Walnut Winery's main tasting room and production facility is located in a 200+ year old bank barn located in Sadsburyville, PA, Chester County. The new retail site at 260 Bridge Street (late August opening) will offer local residents and visitors the opportunity to sample wines, enjoy a glass or bottle of wine in the tasting room and select bottles to go. The winery strives to enhance a guest’s experience, from the amateur to the connoisseur. They will feature live music on select weekend evenings, with wine and artisan goat cheese pairings, they will also host special events such as private wine, cheese and chocolate pairings at the Phoenixville site as requested by customers.
