One of Boston's favorite pop/funk/rock band PARKER HOUSE AND THEORY's diverse music style combines soulful jams, bursting melodies, and bluesy rock into an accessible and polished performance. Comprised of five Boston-based acting and film students, the band's performances showcase pure musical talent as well as their fun-loving personalities and buoyant charisma.

Parker House and Theory performed with O.A.R. (Of a Revolution) in April 2008, and were invited back by O.A.R. for the September 11th O.A.R. show in Portland, ME at Merrill Auditorium. April also included the release of their first full-length album "Automatic Stranger". Produced by 7X Grammy winner Thom Russo (Audioslave, System Of A Down, Juanes, Mana), "Automatic Stranger" delivers energetic rock, driving funk, infectious pop melodies, intimate moments and mature arrangements. In July 2008 "Automatic Stranger" was named a Weekly Pick by Newbury Comics and is now available for sale at all Newbury Comics locations.

Having shared the stage with such bands as O.A.R., Jurassic 5, Dropkick Murphy's, 311, G. Love and Special Sauce, John Butler Trio, State Radio, and Jack's Mannequin, Parker House and Theory have been labeled as a "soon to crack" band (Boston Herald) and "one of the next generation of acts to watch" (Boston Globe).
