BAMP Project, Hawaii's premier concert production company presents three-time Grammy nominated and chart topping rock band Paramore live in Honolulu Wednesday, August 24th. This will be Paramore’s first performance in Hawaii, after touring this summer on the Vans Warped Tour. Paramore will be playing select dates of the Warped Tour, starting off in Scranton, Pennsylvania, on July 14th, and will hit six cities across the US.

The power-pop-punk band formed in 2004 and now consists of female lead vocalist Hayley Williams, bassist Jeremy Davis, and guitarist Taylor York. The group released their debut album All We Know Is Falling in 2005, and its second album Riot! in 2007, which was certified Platinum in the US, and Gold in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the U.K. In 2009 they released their album Brand New Eyes, and has since become the bands highest chart-topping album to date, debuting at number two on the Billboard 200 chart, with 175,000 copies sold in its first week.

The groups popularity rose early in 2005 when John Janick, founder of Fueled by Ramen (Gym Class Heroes, Panic! At the Disco) signed the band immediately after seeing them perform. That same year Paramore played the Warped Tour and then released their debut album, which was hailed by the New York Times and Spin magazine. That was followed up by a sold-out tour of North America in 2006. Their sophomore album was released in 2007, selling 44,000 copies its first week in the U.S, due to their single “Misery Business,” which garnered the band a lot of attention.

Though a fairly new band on the music scene, Paramore has already achieved tremendous success. So far the band has been nominated for three Grammy’s, including Best New Artist in 2008, Best Song Written for a Motion Picture in 2010 for the box office hit film Twilight, and for Best Pop Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals in 2011 for their hit single “The Only Exception.”
