Start your Saturday morning right with a pancake breakfast complete with sausage, bacon, coffee, tea, and juices at a benefit for the Robert F. Kennedy Children’s Action Corps.

The pancake breakfast will be held from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Oct. 2 at the VFW, 467 Iyannough Road, Route 28, Hyannis, Mass. Tickets are $6 for adults; $3 for children under 12; children under 3 are free. Guests can partake in raffles and face painting. A door prize will be awarded.

The event is hosted by the Robert F. Kennedy Children’s Action Corps’ Cape Cod Adolescent Treatment Center in South Yarmouth, Mass. Funds raised through the breakfast will support Team RFK in the Rodman Ride for Kids, a charity bike ride held every fall. The breakfast is sponsored by Pancake Nation, Bisquick’s national effort to inspire pancake lovers to unite through pancake breakfasts. The agency was awarded a $250 grant that will be used to purchase the food and supplies for the event.

The Robert F. Kennedy Children’s Action Corps is a leader in child welfare, juvenile justice, and advocacy in Massachusetts. The agency’s statewide services include educational, residential treatment, and community outreach programs, which support, educate and rehabilitate children, helping them to grow into healthy and productive adult members of their communities.

The Robert F. Kennedy Children’s Action Corps’ Cape Cod Adolescent Treatment Center runs The Youth in Progress Driving School, a driver’s education program offered at a reduced rate in exchange for the youth’s participation in a community service project and the Youth in Progress Leadership and Life Skills Afterschool Program, which assists youth with basic life skills such as money management, job coaching, and conflict resolution.
