Dancer/Choreographer Paloma McGregor (of the Urban Bush Women) returns to Cleveland with a new suite of dances entitled RE: PRESENT. A suite of four dances, RE: PRESENT features the critically acclaimed ensemble piece, 34 Prayers Before Passing, capturing the emotional devastation of the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Set to a poem by four-time National Poetry Slam champion Patricia Smith, the work is an elegy to a culture tied to the life, breath, and resilience of its people.
