Market Street Gallery is pleased to present "PALIN [PHAZE ONE]"," the first ever national visual mapping concept exhibition; artists from around the nation are contributing to the national conversation on "PALIN", a word which inspires debate and conversation at any gathering. This is the first of many phazes to visually map out artists' creative responses in their medium (i.e. oil, charcoal, photography, etc.), linking artists responses to their appropriate states. The exhibition will open October 4th, and run through October 29th. The opening reception is on Saturday, October 9th from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM; and the closing reception is on Saturday, October 23rd from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Works include large-scale, 72" x 108" mixed media art by GETBIZI, small and an impressive 14" x 18" acrylic on canvas response by amazing artist, Zachary Knoles. This national group of artists have come together to contribute to the national political conversation through visual arts in hopes to inspire debate.

The center piece of the "PALIN [PHAZE ONE] exhibition maps the artist's work to the state in which they live, giving the viewer a national visual overview of the responses on the word "PALIN". Each piece will have 2 accompanying adjectives and/or a brief write-up to help emphasize their response to the word. The unexpected thing was how the 'positive' responses decided to submit, and you'll see this at the exhibit. We are also expecting a special guest appearance which will definitely be a great photo-opportunity, video and still photography; be there at 6:00 PM sharp for the reception nights so you do not miss out!
