Pacific Boychoir w/Marcus Shelby Jazz Orchestra & Faye Carol April 24, 2009

Grace Cathedral, SF (venue for Ellington's premiere of the first of his Sacred Concerts in 1965.
The Pacific Boychoir, called "Astonishing" by the LA Times, and the Marcus Shelby Jazz Orchestra, called "Superb" by the SF Chronicle, join forces in an unprecedented collaboration. The ensembles perform arrangements of classics by Duke Ellington on the 110th anniversary of his birth, as well as arrangements of works by Marcus Shelby and Cole Porter.

The PBA & MSJO program concert will also be performed April 25, in Berkeley at The First Congregational Church, 2345 Channing Way, 7pm
