Galeria's Annual Live Auction of Latino Art Works and a tribute to Royal Chicano Air Force artist Juan Carillo for his outstanding contributions to the Latino arts community!

Galeria de la Raza will celebrate its 7th annual auction of Latino art with works by local and international artists this November 17th. PACHANGA 2007 is Galeria de la Raza's annual fundraiser to support its vibrant Latino visual arts programs in the Bay Area as well as next generation arts education programming for Mission District youth. The auction includes close to a hundred pieces of contemporary art works from both emerging and established Latino artists who have donated their work in support of Galeria de la Raza's mission. Our largest fundraiser of the year, PACHANGA 2007 invites the public, students, art collectors, art lovers, neighbors and local community organizations to celebrate one of the longest standing Latino arts organizations in the United States. In addition to a fabulous roster of organic beer, wine and food donations, this year we've added a 60's go-go music theme with live entertainment and music to add to the delight.

The accessibility, intimacy and community of the evening has in no small way begun cultivating individual collectors and expanded those already in the know about Latino/Chicano arts. In 2006, more than 150 people helped us celebrate this annual tradition and we were able to raise over $15,000 in funds. This year's list of contributing artists include Jesus Barraza, Monica Canilao, Rudy Cuellar, Einar and Jamex De La Torre, Lou Dematteis, Mario Ybarra Jr., Andy Diaz-Hope, emael, Ana T. Fernandez, Jaime Guerrero, Gabriela Hasbun, Ester Hernandez, Carmen Lomas Garza, Armando Lerma, Liz Lerma, Juan Luna-Avin, Julio Cesar Morales, Angela Muro, Mitsy Avila-Ovalles, Patrick Piazza, Silvia Poloto, Diana Sanchez, Juan Carlos Quintana, Isis Rodriguez, Rio Yanez and many more...

$20-$50 (Sliding Scale).
